About the Project

Developed and conceptualized by Bow’l Design Studio, “The Character’s Space, The Space’s Character” is designed as a collective workshop that brings together imaginary characters and the spaces they inhabit.

About the Workshop

No character is entirely fictional. Every narrative carries a trace, every figure has a root, and every line holds a past. This workshop invites participants to connect the characters they create from their inner worlds with the spaces they live in, or cannot live in, and to explore the layers of reality within fiction.

Approach

The emotions, sense of belonging, wounds, and dreams of characters shape the spaces they inhabit. Yet spaces are not only physical structures; they are living entities that shelter, exclude, carry, and transform. The workshop focuses on the essential question: how does a character shape a space, and how does a space, in turn, shape a character?

This workshop reflects Bow’l’s design philosophy, where co-creation, sharing, and storytelling lie at the core of the process.
